Topic 01

Accounts & verification

The application form takes a few minutes. Verification usually completes within one business day once we have clear copies of your documents. Blurred photos, expired IDs and proof of address older than three months are the three things that cause almost every delay.
A government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID card or driving licence) and a proof of address issued within the last three months — typically a utility bill or bank statement showing your name and address. The name on both must match the name on your trading account.
Know Your Customer checks are a legal requirement for financial firms, not a preference. They exist to prevent money laundering and fraud, and they also protect you — an unverified account is far easier for someone else to misuse. Any broker willing to skip this step is a broker worth avoiding.
No. We do not offer services to residents of jurisdictions where doing so would breach local law or applicable sanctions. The regional restrictions notice in our footer sets out the position, and if you are unsure, ask support before applying.
Yes. Multiple trading accounts can sit under one client profile — for instance a Standard account for discretionary trading and an ECN Raw account for an automated strategy. Funds can be transferred between them internally.
Close any open positions, withdraw your remaining balance, then contact support to request closure. We will confirm in writing. Some records must be retained afterwards to meet regulatory record-keeping obligations, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Topic 02

Deposits & withdrawals

Requests received during business hours on a fully verified account are processed within 1 minute to 12 hours in most cases. After that, delivery time depends on the method: e-wallets and crypto typically arrive within 24 hours, and bank wires 2–5 business days.
The three most common reasons are: verification is not yet complete, the requested amount exceeds your free margin (funds supporting open positions cannot be withdrawn), or the destination does not match a verified method in your name. Support will tell you which one applies.
No. Third-party payments must be returned to source under anti-money-laundering rules, regardless of the relationship. Always fund from a bank account, card or wallet held in your own name.
We add no fee of our own to standard deposits, or to e-wallet withdrawals. Bank wire charges are passed through at cost, and blockchain network fees are deducted by the network itself. Your own bank or wallet provider may also charge you — that is outside our control.
If an account has no trading activity for 12 consecutive months and holds a positive balance, a $10 monthly fee applies. It will not take a balance below zero. Placing a single trade, or withdrawing your balance and closing the account, both avoid it.
Topic 03

Trading & platforms

Spreads reflect available liquidity. They widen around major economic releases, at market open and close, over weekends and during periods of stress. This happens at every broker — variable spreads narrow when liquidity is deep and widen when it thins. If you trade around news, expect it and size accordingly.
That is slippage: the market moved between your order being sent and executed. It is most common in fast markets and around news, and it can work in your favour as well as against you. Using limit orders instead of market orders gives you price certainty, at the cost of possibly not being filled at all.
A margin call warns you that account equity has fallen close to the minimum needed to support your open positions. If equity keeps falling and reaches the stop-out level, positions are closed automatically, starting with the largest loss, to prevent further exposure. Both levels are shown in your platform. In fast or gapping markets, closure may occur at a worse price than the stop-out level implies.
Yes, on every live account type. There is no minimum holding time and no restriction on automated strategies. A VPS is available if you need an EA running continuously.
Check that you selected the correct server name from the list, that you are using your trading account number rather than your portal email, and that the password is the trading password rather than the portal password. If the market is closed for that instrument, prices will simply not update — which can look like a connection failure but is not one.
No. We provide execution, platforms, tools and educational content, but we do not give personal investment advice or issue recommendations, and we are not licensed to do so. Anyone contacting you claiming to trade on our behalf for a fee is not acting for CSO Markets — please report it to support.
Topic 04

Security & compliance

Client funds are held in segregated accounts, separate from the money used to operate the business, and reconciled daily. Segregation controls how funds are held; it is not deposit insurance and does not protect against trading losses.
No. CSO Markets staff will never ask for your password, never request that you transfer funds to a personal account, and never offer to trade your account for a share of profits. If you receive such an approach, do not engage — report it to support immediately with any screenshots you have.
Use a unique password you do not reuse elsewhere, enable two-factor authentication on the client portal, never share your credentials with anyone including account managers, and check that you are on our genuine domain before logging in. Withdrawal requests require identity confirmation as an additional safeguard.
Personal data and KYC documents are access-controlled, encrypted in transit and retained in line with our published Privacy Policy. Certain records must be kept for a defined period after account closure to satisfy regulatory obligations.
Email support with your account number and a clear description of the issue, including dates and any relevant order numbers. Complaints are acknowledged and investigated under our internal complaints procedure. If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome, the escalation route available to you is set out in our Terms & Conditions.
