The Rules

Why funding has conditions attached

These requirements are not arbitrary. They come from anti-money-laundering obligations that apply to every regulated financial firm, and they protect your account as much as they protect us.

  • Same-name rule. Funds must come from an account or card in your own name. Third-party payments are returned.
  • Return-to-source. Withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with, up to the amount deposited.
  • Verification first. Withdrawals require completed identity and address verification.
  • Free margin only. You can withdraw available funds, not margin currently supporting open positions.

Verify once

Complete ID and address verification when you open the account and withdrawals stay straightforward afterwards.

Segregated holding

Client funds are held separately from company operating funds and reconciled daily.

Funding Questions

Frequently asked

Anti-money-laundering rules require that funds in a trading account come from the account holder. A payment from a spouse, friend, employer or business account will be returned to source, which wastes time and may cost you a transfer fee. Always fund from an account or card in your own name.
Return-to-source is a standard anti-money-laundering control: money leaves by the same route it arrived, up to the amount deposited. Any profit above your deposited amount can generally be paid to an alternative verified method in your name.
Once approved, the payment is with the network — your bank, wallet provider or the blockchain. Bank wires in particular can take several business days to appear on a statement. If the published timeline has passed, contact support with your request reference and we will trace it with the provider.
Yes, but the amount is converted at the prevailing rate on arrival. If you regularly fund in a particular currency, opening your account in that currency avoids paying conversion twice.
CSO Markets does not add its own deposit fee. However, your bank may charge for an international wire, wallet providers may charge to fund or withdraw, and blockchain networks charge their own fees. Those costs are outside our control and are not reimbursed.

Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Only deposit funds you can afford to lose, and never fund a trading account with borrowed money or capital you need for living expenses.
